By the time David finished speaking with Saul, Jonathan had become as fond of David as if his life depended on him; he loved him as he loved himself. And Jonathan entered into a bond with David, because he loved him as himself.

Even the Scriptures (Deuteronomy 21:22-23) confirm, “Cursed is he that hangs upon a tree.” We can tend to get so wrapped up in our own suffering that we sometimes fail to see that our crosses, although at times, extremely painful and burdensome to carry can also be our greatest blessings. |
